If you thought your check-in luggage was safe inside the aircraft, think again.
In a series of videos shared by Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Monday, one can see crew members opening bags and sifting through the stuff inside them, something that’s a major breach of trust.
While the videos in themselves don’t suggest where this happened, a New York Post article reported that this happened in Thailand, in the luggage compartment of a Jetstar flight.
Once the video started going viral online, the airline took cognizance of the matter and initiated an investigation into it.
The crew member was identified as 27-year-old Abdullah Hayee Mayeh, who was arrested from the Phuket International Airport.
