Footage obtained by The Indian Express revealed Jaish-e-Muhammad seeking funds from mosques in Karachi to sponsor jihadists to fight in India and Afghanistan.
The footage was shot on Friday night and Saturday, the Indian Express report said. It shows the fund collectors operating openly, even though the organisation is banned by the Pakistani government.
A man in the video can be seen shouting slogans, asking for support for the “mujahideen of the JeM,” outside a mosque in Karachi.

Police officers look on as spectators while these slogans were chanted and funds were collected.
JeM was banned in Pakistan in 2002, after the Parliament House attack in New Delhi. However, it continues to operate in several parts of Pakistan.
The organisation’s name has been linked to the January attack on the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot. The findings of the Pakistani team of investigators on the matter are, however, yet to be shared with India.
