Canada’s Defense Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan is making the headlines for being caught while littering on camera.
A video that has gone viral shows Sajjan tossing cherry seeds out of the window of his SUV, as a person in the next car shoots all the action surreptitiously from his car.
The person behind the camera then emerges out of the car and walks towards the minister’s car and confronts him in Punjabi, while focusing the camera on Sajjan and the car’s number plate.
Taken aback, Sajjan apologetically says, “I was just eating cherries.”
The man who reveals himself to be the owner of the meat shop, outside which the minister has parked his car, goes on to rebuke the Sajjan for his actions despite being educated and a man of authority.
“If it was someone else, I wouldn’t have said anything. You’re a big officer, how can you do this?”, he is heard telling Sajjan.
The four-minute long video has garnered thousands of views on Facebook and YouTube.
