Al-Qaeda Chief Warns US Not to Execute Boston Bomber Tsarnaev

  • Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri threatened the United States with “gravest consequences” if Boston marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev or any other Muslim prisoner is executed.

  • Tsarnaev, named in Zawahri’s online video message, was sentenced to death by lethal injection on 24 June last year for the 2013 Boston Marathon Attack.

  • The Boston attack killed three people and injured more than 264 civilians. Tsarnaev is serving his term at the Supermax prison in Florence, Colorado.
