CLAIM
A viral message on WhatsApp claims that four terrorists were spotted in Bengaluru. The message reads, “4 of the terrorists were spotted in Bangalore and they plan to do something worse in next 15 days, primarily in IT companies in Whitefield and Bellandur .... so as residents please be alert and anyone notice these guys and any info please contact the police immediately.”
Several users on WhatsApp have circulated the message with a similar claim.

The claims made in the viral message are false.
The Bengaluru Police tweeted via its official handle that the message doing the rounds is a hoax. It further appealed to citizens to not fall for such rumours and share them on social networking websites.
Sources in the Bengaluru Police further confirmed to The Quint that the claims made in the message are false.
On being asked about the identity of the people shown in the viral message, the source said that images of the people have just been downloaded from the internet to circulate such false messages.
