How did we find that out?: We extracted several keyframes from the viral video using a video verification tool, InVID, and performed a reverse image search on them.
This directed us to a report in Daily Mail which carried the same video.
On going the entire report, we found that the video showed protestors clashing with the police over COVID-19 restrictions in Barcelona. The report mentioned that the violence erupted after Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez imposed a nationwide curfew on 25 October.
It further said that a large group of people were seen running towards a police vehicle and pelted with various objects, including metal railings.
It also carried visuals from the protests, where the situation turned violent.
Other sources: On performing a keyword search, we found the same video posted by an X user named 'Scarcity News'. It was uploaded on 2 November 2020.
News reports: According to Reuters, people opposing COVID-19 restrictions clashed with the police in the city. The incident saw about 50 demonstrators throwing fireworks and bricks at the police personnel.
