CLAIM

A video shared by Facebook page ‘Amit Shah Fans’ shows a yellow helicopter landing in a field, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stepping out of the chopper.

The claim along with the video states, "बंगाल में योगी आदित्यनाथ की हेलीकॉप्टर एंट्री" (Yogi Adityanath’s helicopter lands in Bengal), indicating that this is from his recent rally in West Bengal's Purulia.

TRUE OR FALSE?

While the video is authentic, it is not from West Bengal as claimed, but from Tripura.

A closer look at the video at various points shows that Yogi, after alighting from the chopper, boards into an Ambassador car with the registered license plate beginning with 'TR', indicating that the car is from Triupra.

While the video is authentic, it is not from West Bengal as claimed, but from Tripura.

Further, police bandobast vans are clearly emblazened with 'Tripura Police', and not West Bengal.

While the video is authentic, it is not from West Bengal as claimed, but from Tripura.

Taking these indicators as cue, a YouTube search for the words 'Yogi Adityanath' 'Helicopter' 'Tripura' threw up the original video, uploaded on a channel named 'VLS Vlogs'.

The video is from 12 February 2018, when the Uttar Pradesh chief minister donned the hat of a star campaigner for the BJP, setting off on a campaign blitzkrieg over two days, addressing rallies in Jubrajnagar and Kanchanpur.

This particular video is from Kanchanpur, according to the description of the video uploaded by VLS Vlogs.
