CLAIM
A viral image showing Pakistan PM Imran Khan interacting with Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa – and Rahul Gandhi, Shatrughan Sinha, Arvind Kejriwal, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Mamata Banerjee seen sitting in the background – has been doing the rounds.
The picture has been widely shared on Facebook and Twitter.
A tweet with a similar claim was retweeted more than seven thousand times and has more than three thousand people talking about it.
TRUE OR FALSE?
On doing a reverse image search, The Quint found out that the image has been doctored.
The original picture is taken from an Ary News article, a Pakistani news agency, which shows the Pakistani PM, Imran Khan, having a conversation with the country’s Army Chief. The chairs seen behind them, in the original picture, are empty.
Clearly, the user had meant to use the photoshopped picture to slam the Opposition.
