FACT
A Twitter user Shilpi Tewari flagged that it could be a mic instead of a gun as claimed in the caption.
On checking News24Ghanta’s original feed from the episode named ‘Cross Fire: Coochbehar’, it became clear that the object hinted to be thrown by the TMC MLA is a mic and not a gun.
The incident took place after an argument between TMC’s Rabindra Nath Ghosh and BJP’s Nisith Pramanik at Cross Fire show anchored by journalist Moupia Nandy.
Ghosh accused Pramanik of cow smuggling, to which the latter responded by accusing Ghosh’s son of human trafficking.
The TMC MLA lost his cool after Pramanik’s comment and threatened to throw the mic at him. He, however, was stopped by the anchor.
Following the incident, the crowd in the studio is seen in a disarray, while the anchor Nandy tries to diffuse the situation.
