In the WhatsApp message that is circulating, it is being claimed that the government will give Rs 5 lakh to the beneficiary families, but only after they register themselves for the scheme by clicking on a link and entering their personal details like name, age, and mobile number.

The message has the link bharat-sarkar.co – here, the problem is evident. None of the government scheme websites have ‘bharat sarkar’ in their universal resource locators (URLs).

All Indian government websites end with ‘gov.in’, and the actual, legitimate website for the Ayushman Bharat health scheme is www.abnhpm.gov.in.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda has previously clarified that there is no need for beneficiaries of the scheme to register anywhere, Live Mint reported.

When one visits the website mentioned in the viral message and attempts to navigate to its ‘About’ page, the user is directed to a page that shows a 404 Error and "The request was not found on this server". The 'Privacy' section similarly also redirects to a new page with the same 404 Error and error message.

This is not the first time that fake messages regarding the schemes launched by the Prime Minister have surfaced. Previously, messages of PM's Scholarship Scheme for class 10 and 12 students' went viral on social media, which was debunked by WebQoof. There were some similar fake messages about other schemes too.
