The Rolling Stones fans from India are in for a treat, or a letdown, depending on how you look at it.

Rolling Stones’ frontman Mick Jagger is in India, and with almost no notice that he’d be in the country, his visit has driven fans into a frenzy.

The “(I can’t get no) Satisfaction” singer took to Twitter on Sunday, 14 January, to share a photograph of himself in a shirt paired with a black blazer and pants.

Jagger looked like his often upbeat, energetic on-screen persona in the photo. IANS reported that the photo was taken at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace in Rajasthan.

While the reason for Jagger’s visit to India still hasn’t been made clear, he says he is enjoying the sights and the sounds of the country.

The singer, who is one of the founder members of the band The Rolling Stones, is known for songs like "Gimme shelter”, "Party like a doll”, “Time is on my side,” and "Sweet thing".

The Rolling Stones are also the band behind a number of other smash hits including ‘Honky Tonk Women' and 'Paint it Black.’

The Rolling Stones burst into the music scene in the summer of 1962, with a performance at London’s Marquee Club on Oxford Street. Along with The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Cream, the Rolling Stones were credited with being one of the most influential rock and roll bands of all time, shaping the music of the 60s and 70s with 30 albums.

The Rolling Stones, with their charismatic frontman, were inducted into the 1989 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the 2004 UK Music Hall of Fame.
