Recently while campaigning door-to-door for wife Kirron Kher in Chandigarh, Anupam Kher was questioned by a shopkeeper about the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)‘s 2014 manifesto and the actor responded by walking out without saying a word. Kirron is the sitting MP from the city and is running again as the BJP’s candidate. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
In the video, Anupam is seen entering the shop with a troop of BJP supporters in tow. As soon as he reaches the counter, the owner of the shop produces a copy of the party’s 2014 manifesto and asks, “I want to ask you one thing. What you promised here (in the manifesto), what did you fulfill?” Anupam pauses for a moment before turning around silently as the other party supporters usher him outside and away from the shopkeer.
Take a look at the video.
The video is another embarrassing moment for Anupam after he recently had to cancel two election rallies in the city because no one showed up. Anupam is calling it another instance of the Congress party’s “consipracy” against him.
“Yesterday, the opposition planted two people in a shop while I campaigned for Kirron Kher so that they could ask me about the 2014 manifesto of the BJP. I kept walking because I saw a man making the video. Today they released the video. See the action of the man in beard.”Anupam Kher
Meanwhile social media has been having a field day with the video.
Anupam Kher was last seen on screen as Dr Manmohan Singh in The Accidental Prime Minister which was panned by critics and audiences alike.
