Need All-Party Meeting to Decide Action Against Pakistan: Shiv Sena

The Shiv Sena on Tuesday urged the Centre to convene an all-party meeting in the national capital to discuss the course of action against Pakistan in wake of the barbaric mutilation of Indian soldiers.

"Our farmers and soldiers are the ones whose situations are the worst in the country. If we will not make efforts to improve their condition, then there is no use of a government in the county. The condition of our country is getting worse and it is very unfortunate. It is needed to call all party meeting in Delhi to discuss the situation," Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told ANI.

BMC's Samajwadi Party Corporator Rais Shaikh Seeks 400 per Cent Hike in Remuneration

A Samajwadi Party corporator of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has demanded a 400 per cent hike in remuneration for the civic body members, terming the present payment of Rs 10,000 a month as "very meagre".

Rais Shaikh wrote to civic chief Ajoy Mehta on April 12, demanding that the current remuneration of Rs 10,000 per month for the corporators be increased to Rs 50,000 so that they can discharge their duties properly.

Terming his demand as "realistic and practical", Shaikh told , "I would like to clarify that I have not demanded the hike in salary. I have sought hike of the remuneration which was last revised in 2002."

Man Held for Killing Wife Three Days After Their Wedding

The police have solved the mystery behind the murder of a 22-year-old woman whose body was found abandoned in Gorai on April 10.

The woman's husband strangled her to death on the third day after their wedding. A probe revealed that he had not wanted to marry her, but was forced to do so by her parents, as they had been in a relationship for several years.

The woman's body was found on April 10 with several marks around her neck, and bloodstains on her clothes. The post-mortem report indicated that the woman had been strangled.

The MHB police registered a murder case but there was no progress for a few days as there were no eyewitnesses. However, when the picture of the woman went viral on WhatsApp, her brother saw it and approached the police, identifying her as Sabrin.

Uber Launches Food Delivery Business UberEATS in Mumbai

Global ride-hailing platform Uber is now getting into the food delivery business in Mumbai, under UberEATS and has partnered over 200 restaurants.

"The introduction of UberEATS in India, with Mumbai as the first city to go live with its food delivery service is a major step in our global expansion strategy," Bhavik Rathod, head of UberEATS India told .

"We are looking to scale to other big cities including Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata among others going forward, but we don't have a timeline at present," he added.

Shikha Joshi Suicide Case: Actress' Brother Will Fast to Demand CBI Probe

Over two years after actress and model Shikha Joshi was found in her apartment with her throat slashed, her brother Vishesh Joshi is about to embark on a hunger strike to demand that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) take over the probe into her death.

He has fixed May 16 as the day he will launch his protest at Jantar Mantar, and is currently in the process of seeking all required permissions from the authorities in Delhi for the fast.

'Stadium Worker' Dupes 26 and Sells Them Forged IPL Tickets for Double Price

On Monday evening, 26 excited IPL fans turned up at the Wankhede Stadium to watch the tussle between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Instead, they discovered that their alternatively acquired tickets - from a so-called workers' quota sold to them by a man named Amrut - were forged. They then approached the Marine Drive police station and have registered a case against an unknown person. One of the victims, however, managed to take a picture of the accused and the police is now actively looking for him.
