Congress President Rahul Gandhi, while addresing a rally in Maharashtra’s Wardha on Tuesday, 2 October, slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the government’s alleged unfulfilled promises in the backdop.
“While Mahatma Gandhi wanted to unite India, PM Modi wants to divide us,” said Gandhi in the backdrop of Mahatma Gandhi’s irth anniversary.
Earlier in the day, Gandhi led the deliberations at the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Maharashtra's Wardha along with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh.
The meeting also condemned the Modi government’s attitude towards farmers in the country, on a day when police used water cannons and tear gas shells against protesting farmers outside Delhi.
