As the BJP-led NDA government completed its second year of governance, on Thursday, its ally in Maharashtra Shiv Sena has hit out at Modi’s leadership, News18 reported.
In its editorial mouthpiece Samaana, Shiv Sena said that while the BJP is celebrating its success in Assam, it hasn’t fared well in the other states.
BJP was only able to win Assam but failed to secure a major chunk of seats in other states despite BJP President Amit Shah’s big push.Excerpt from Saamana
Taking a dig at Modi’s foreign policy, the party also asked the Prime Minister to decide whether his residence is in the country or outside of it.
Shiv Sena said that the several schemes and promised by the government hasn’t still reached the common man, as reflected in the massive rise in the number of farmer suicides, News18 reported.
Modi said he will bring back the black money and deposit it in the bank accounts of the citizens. But this has not happened even in two years and farmers have been committing suicide.Excerpt from Saamana
Shiv Sena which has often been critical of the Modi regime. After the BJP’s victory in Assam assembly elections, Sena leader Sanjay Raut had said:
Achhe din for BJP in Assam but regional parties are strong. They will only get stronger. BJP couldn’t fight these regional parties in other three states despite Modi wave. It’s a threat to BJP.
