- Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) supremo, Ram Vilas Paswan, on Sunday, condemned the attack on BJP MP Tarun Vijay. On 20 May Vijay was attacked for for leading Dalits into a temple in Dehradun.
Paswan urged Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to identify the temples and public places where their entry is prohibited and ensure that Dalits are allowed to enter. - Paswan said that despite having laws against untouchability, Dalits are still being prohibited from entering temples. The minister said a case of conspiracy to kill Vijay should be registered.
