A day after Supreme Court granted bail to former finance minister P Chidambaram, he arrived at the Parliament on Thursday, 5 December, to attend the ongoing winter session.

Structural Problems, Lack of Advanced Storage Systems: Sitharaman on Decreased Onion Production
NCP leader Supriya Sule asked Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as to the reason behind the fall in onion production.
Sitharaman said, “I have oevernight passed orders to help with the exports as well. There are structural problems, lack of advanced systems of storage. We are looking at ways to improve post harvest capacity of onions. Undue weather conditions have also majorly affected the production.”
