The Monsoon Session of Parliament was adjourned sine die on Friday, 10 August, ANI reported.
The amended Triple Talaq Bill was not taken up in the Rajya Sabha on Friday as no consensus could be built around it, Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu Venkaiah Naidu said.
On Thursday, 9 August, the Union Cabinet had approved amendments to the bill, with the fresh version allowing a magistrate to grant bail to those men divorcing their wives abruptly.
Following uproar by the Opposition over the Rafale Deal, the Upper House had been adjourned till 2:30 pm.
Friday is also the last day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

The Monsoon Session of the Rajya Sabha, which began on July 18, was adjourned sine die, ANI reported.
Divorce on Grounds of Leprosy Bill Introduced in LS
The Personal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2018 introduced in Lok Sabha today seeks to amend five personal laws – the Divorce Act (for Christians), the Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, the Hindu Marriage Act, the Special Marriage Act and the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act – to strike down leprosy as a ground for seeking divorce.
According to the bill, introduced by Minister of State for Law P P Chaudhary, the provision of leprosy as a ground for divorce was part of the law because when these Acts were introduced, leprosy was incurable.
