Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi on Tuesday called on President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
Suu Kyi, the Myanmar Foreign Minister, also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan where she was accorded a ceremonial reception earlier.
“State Counsellor of Myanmar, Aung San Suu Kyi calls on the President Pranab Mukherjee, at Rashtrapati Bhavan,” the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting tweeted.
Suu Kyi, who is on three-day visit here post the BRICS-BIMSTEC Summit in Goa, also met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
She also visited Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
Aung San Suu Kyi Also Met Sonia Gandhi
Aung San Suu Kyi also visited Congress President Sonia Gandhi at her residence in New Delhi. She drove to the 10, Janpath residence of Gandhi and spent sometime with the Congress President.
She is learnt to have discussed the steps for strengthening of Indo-Myanmar ties.
Senior Congress leader Karan Singh was also present at Gandhi's residence and greeted her along with Gandhi on her arrival.
