Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of election campaigning in Kanyakumari, Congress spokesperson Kushboo, on Tuesday, alleged that the AIADMK’s appeal to the EC to reject the transfers of top-officials is a sign of fear, reported Puthiya Thalaimurai.
With under two weeks to go for the upcoming Tamil Nadu state elections, Kushboo said that she openly challenges the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa to release a manifesto devoid of any freebies.
Jayalalithaa has said that she has fulfilled the promises she made in her 2011 manifesto. She has not released her party’s manifesto yet. So, I openly challenge her to release a manifesto that does not promise any materialistic freebies. She is contemplating whether to give LCD or LED, but I am asking her to release a manifesto that is completely based on welfare policy measures for the people of Tamil Nadu.Kushboo
Kushboo also said that Jayalalithaa should promise that she will implement complete prohibition in Tamil Nadu even if MIDAS, a distillery allegedly owned by the chief minister, incurs loss.
