Nearly three weeks after submitting a letter to three senior Supreme Court judges urgently seeking an investigation into the contents of her late husband and the then Arunachal chief minister Kalikho Pul, his frustrated widow Dangwimsai Pul said on Thursday that her requests for a probe have gone unheeded.
In a statement issued to the Press, Ms Pul said that after approaching the Supreme Court, she “entreated” with the BJP government in Arunachal Pradesh before writing a letter to Vice-President Hameed Ansari, meeting Home Minister Rajnath Singh and then seeking a nod from Justices J Chelameshwar, Madan B Lokur and Ranjan Gogoi for a thorough probe into the bribery allegations made by her late husband.
The allegations are part of a 60-page suicide note that Pul left behind before taking his own life in the chief minister’s bungalow in Itanagar on 9 August 2016. The letter to three senior SC judges was submitted to their staff on 3 April.
Surprisingly, all those exercises didn’t fetch any positive results as yet and they didn’t pay heed to my requests. Instead, I and my family members started getting threats and intimidation from many quarters. The Statement
