Ahead of the Kerala elections, a number of candidates from the two major coalitions came in for some criticism for capitalising on a parent’s political legacies.
The ruling UDF had trumped everybody else with 17 candidates whose relatives are ministers, or have been former ministers or even former chief ministers in the state. The LDF had eight such candidates. But the BJP had just one married couple.
With the results out, some of the star kids (hardly) just did not make the cut. Here’s a list of who made it and who didn’t. The two BJP contestants lost the elections.
