Bicycle Dreams: The Symbol That Drove Mulayam-Akhilesh Apart

Jo jeeta usi ki cycle!

The Samajwadi Party biked across UP and won the state elections with a clear majority. That’s when Papa Mulayam decided to let his son Akhilesh peddle the cycle and ride the party to success.

But it seems Akhilesh peddled the cycle all the way to the Election Commission, who on Monday ended up handing over the emblem to him. And with this gigantic step, Akhilesh shut all the critics up (Shivpal Yadav, Amar Singh) and claimed his throne.
