The Twitter profile of Congress spokesperson Divya Spandana appears to have been deleted. A quick search of Spandana’s Twitter handle, @divyaspandana, shows up a page which says, “this account doesn’t exist.”
Before her Twitter page vanished, Spandana’s profile showed no tweets and reportedly there was no mention of her as the head of social media for the Congress party.
Spandana was the most visible face of Congress on social media, often taking jibes at BJP leaders and staunchly defending the party’s stance. There has been no official confirmation on the reason behind the deletion of the Twitter account or whether Divya Spandana has parted ways with the Congress. According to ANI, Divya Spandana has refuted claims over her leaving the party by saying, “your source is wrong.”
Spandana had last tweeted congratulating Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on her new role where she had said, “The GDP not looking great, I’m sure you will do your best to revive the economy. You have our support. Best wishes.”
