Tejashwi Yadav Evolved into a Natural Leader: Shahabuddin

Shahabuddin was released on bail recently and was seen with Kaif, who is wanted for the murder of a journalist.

Former Rashtriya Janata Dal MP, Mohammad Shahabuddin, landed himself in trouble right after he got out on bail after 13 years when was seen with wanted criminal Mohammad Kaif in a photograph.

In the photo, Mohammad Kaif alias Bunty who is an accused in the murder of journalist Rajdeo Ranjan, is shown accompanying Shahabuddin during his journey from Bhagalpur to Siwan after his release from the jail.

In an interview to CNN News18, he said that he is not a don but the media had made him one. He went on to add that he blamed the government for his troubles.

When quizzed about his association with local gangster Mohammed Kaif, he said, “He (Kaif) has more pictures with the District Magistrate of Siwan than with me, but nobody is showing that.”

He dodged the interviewers remarks on Kaif being spotted with Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son, Tej Pratap Yadav.

He stood by what he said against Bihar Chief Minister and re-iterated that circumstances made Nitish Kumar the head of the state.

When asked about his working under Lalu’s son and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Shahabuddin said, “If situation arises I may accept the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav. He has evolved into a natural leader.”

Meanwhile, Asha Ranjan, the spouse of slain journalist, Rajdeo Ranjan, moved Supreme Court seeking transfer of probe and trial in the murder case to Delhi from Siwan. She alleged that media reports have shown two absconding killers of her husband in the company of Shahabuddin and Tej Pratap Yadav.
