BJP chief Amit Shah on Tuesday announced a two-week 'padyatra', against the CPI(M) allegedly targeting his party's workers. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also took part in the yatra on 4 October.
Addressing a rally in Kannur, Kerala, Shah said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was responsible for the violence in the state. BJP workers were victims of "political murders", he added.
As many as 120 BJP workers, 84 in Kannur alone, have been killed in the state since 2001. Fourteen people were killed in Kannur since the CPI(M) came to power last year, the BJP said on Monday.

BJP Leaders March to Protest CPI(M)'s Alleged Killing of Party Workers
Union ministers Jitendra Singh and Vijay Goel along with other BJP leaders marched in Kerala to protest the CPI(M)'s alleged targeting of party workers in Kerala.
BJP president Amit Shah had on Tuesday flagged off a 'Jan Raksha Yatra' in Kerala and had announced that a 'padyatra' will be held in all the state capitals from Wednesday over the issue of political violence in Kerala.
The violence by the Left in Kerala is a "blot on Indian democracy", Singh said, while taking part in the protest.
The violence is not only against the BJP but also against other political parties that believe in democracy, Singh said.
Singh claimed that the BJP protest was aimed at preserving the Gandhian principle of non-violence, democratic values, the country’s culture.
He also urged other political parties to pay heed to the violence allegedly perpetrated by "the Communists in Kerala".
As many as 120 BJP workers have been killed in Kerala, the BJP has alleged.
'No Place For Violence in Democracy'
Speaking at the yatra, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that there was no place for violence in a democracy.
