A 38-year-old man was killed on the night of 12 August, after he was allegedly pushed out of a train near a railway station in Haryana's Faridabad district, a senior GRP official said.
The deceased has been identified as Davinder, a resident of Palwal district. Davinder and another man, Lalit, were allegedly pushed out by some miscreants on Saturday night, DSP Government Railway Police (GRP), Mohinder Singh said over phone.
The duo were allegedly pushed out of a Delhi-Indore train near the Asaoti Railway Station, which is close to Palwal. Davinder was killed in the incident, while Lalit sustained serious injuries and has been hospitalised, the DSP said.
“It has been found in preliminary investigations that there was a dispute between the two sides (victims and the assailants) over some matter,” the DSP said.
He added that three people were being questioned by the police in connection with the case. The accused, like the victims, were standing near the coach's door, Singh said.
The DSP said that a case has been registered and two people have been taken into custody. The matter is being investigated, he said.
