Malayalam actor Dileep was arrested on 10 July, by the Kerala Police in connection with the abduction and alleged sexual assault of an actress in February.
The Aluva police, for questioning Dileep on Monday morning said they collected “irrefutable proof” of his involvement in the conspiracy to abduct and assault the actor.
Just two weeks ago, following a 13-hour interrogation, Dileep claimed that he was not acquainted with Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the abduction case. However, police recovered a photograph pf Suni on the location of Dileep’s latest film Georgettan's Pooram.
The police team will also record statements of technicians who worked on the film, including those involved in the film’s production.
The photo proves Suni's presence at the shooting location in a club in Thrissur. It is after the photograph surfaced, that the investigation team decided to make the arrest of the actor.
According to television reports, the police will not only investigate Suni’s presence at the location of this film, but also probe whether he was present at the shooting locations of Dileep’s other films.
Some reports also state that Dileep's friend and director Nadirshah, who was earlier questioned by the police, will be arrested along with Dileep.
Earlier last week, the police had raided the office of Laksyah, the online clothing store owned by Dileep's wife Kavya Madhavan.
The premises of the e-commerce business, Laksyah, which was started in June 2015 by Kavya, came under the scrutiny of the police because Pulsar Suni had mentioned visiting a shop in Kakkanad in a letter that he had allegedly sent to Dileep.
