The third phase of the Bihar elections is scheduled for October 28. Polling will be held in 50 out of 243 seats in this phase, with 808 candidates in the fray.

This time, there are fewer criminal candidates contesting elections in the third phase with just 27 per cent or 215 candidates facing criminal charges. The party which had the highest number of candidates with criminal cases were Rashtriya Janata Dal with 68 per cent followed by Bharatiya Janata Party at 62 per cent and Janata Dal (United) with 56 per cent.
