Yakub Memon, 1993 Mumbai blasts convict, met his cousin brother, Usman Memon, in Nagpur Central Prison under high security this afternoon.
Usman, accompanied by local lawyer Anil Gondane refused to talk to the media outside the jail premises.
The meet came ahead of Memon’s curative petition to get out of prison, expected to be heard in the Supreme Court tomorrow.
Along with the brother, his wife and daughter were also expected to visit him, but they did not turn up.

His death sentence was upheld by a Supreme Court bench on March 21, 2013.
His appeal against the death sentence was rejected by President Pranab Mukherjee as well.
Possible Hanging of Yakub Memon
Media reports had earlier said the execution will take place if Memon’s curative petition is rejected by the Supreme Court.
The Nagpur prison authorities have been evading questions related to to Memon’s possible date of hanging.

Prison officials had, however, said the jail is equipped with all the necessary facilities to carry out the execution.
