A CCTV footage captured in Punjab’s Majitha shows a woman falling off the roof of a police van.
The video shows that the van was on the move when she fell.
Speaking to ANI, DSP Nirlep Singh said the woman climbed on top of the police van during a scuffle with the police.
“I reached after the incident and tried to control the crowd. When the scuffle was taking place, the woman sat on the police car’s roof,” Singh told ANI.
Singh assured that there will be an enquiry into the incident. The woman is being treated at a hospital.
