Ahead of their bilateral talks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong were seen enjoying a meal at an Indian restaurant in Little India.
PM Modi, who is on his maiden visit to Singapore had a vegetarian dinner in the restaurant that lies in an area dominated by Indian origin eateries and businesses.
He later called himself a “happy guest” and his host, “hospitable” on Twitter.
The digital diplomatic gesture was returned by his Singaporean counterpart as he went on to post this tweet.
Soon after his arrival, Modi had even delivered a 20-minute lecture, ‘37th Singapore Lecture - India’s Singapore Story’ which was also attended by Lee.
