After receiving complaints about surge-pricing from people during the odd-even scheme in April, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal issued them a warning to adopt government-approved rates for their cabs. On Thursday, the US-based cab aggregator accepted the terms put forth by the Delhi government.
According to prescribed rates, fares for all types of taxi services are:
- Rs 12.50 per km for Economy Radio Taxis.
- Rs.14 per km and Rs 16 per km for non-AC and AC Black & Yellow top taxis.
- Rs 23 for Radio Taxis (with an LCD board on top saying so)
- Night charges (25% of fare) apply between 11 PM and 5 AM.
