A Punjab-based apple dealer was killed in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday, 16 October, ANI reported. This is the third such incident since Monday.
Charanjeet Singh was shot at along with another Punjab-based apple trader Sanjeev at around 7:30 pm and while Sanjeev is said to be critical, Charanjeet succumbed to his injuries.
Earlier in the day, a migrant labourer from Chhattisgarh was also shot dead by terrorists in Pulwama district. Sethi Kumar Sagar was walking with another civilian when two terrorists shot at him at Nihama area near Kakpora railway station.
On Monday, two terrorists, including a suspected Pakistani national, shot dead Sharief Khan, driver of a Rajasthan truck and assaulted an orchard owner in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Last week, at least seven people were injured in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar after a grenade attack by terrorists in a market area. The attack had come days after terrorists had thrown a grenade in south Kashmir's Anantnag, injuring 14.
