In an encounter between security forces and Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, six security personnel were injured, and two killed according to news agency ANI. This comes after a road construction company’s manager was killed by Maoists in the area.
According to Special Director General DM Awasthi, more than 20 Naxals were killed in the firing.

The incident took place in the Bheji police station limits of Sukma, just four days after security forces raided a Maoist camp and recovered arms from the area.
We airlifted six injured security personnel to Raipur for treatment. In this incident, the manager of a road construction company also died. Search operations and investigation are underway.Sundarraj P, DIG (South Bastar)
The area is said to be a Naxal hotbed.
