Two days after a nine-minute video clip of Baahubali 2 was leaked online, the Vijayawada police arrested three engineering students and three degree students for sharing the video on social media.
24-year-old trainee graphic designer, Krishna Dayanand Choudhary who was part of the editing team of the film, was arrested earlier.
The New Indian Express reported that the police seized a laptop and six smartphones used for posting the video clip. Dayanand had shared the video with his friend Akki Krishna Chaitanya, who forwarded it to five of his friends and posted it on social media as well.
The second installment of the blockbuster movie is being shot in a specially constructed set inside Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
Since the movie makers have been trying their best to keep the plot of the movie a tight secret, it came as a huge shock for the industry when a clip was leaked.
The leaked video had an action sequence with actors Prabhas and Anushka.
One of the reasons fans got hooked to Baahubali was its intriguing story; in fact, the suspense of why Baahubali was killed will be revealed in the second edition.
The producer, Shobu Yarlagadda, saw the video on YouTube, and filed a complaint.
Reports suggest that Dayanand also stole video clips of another under-production movie Om Namo Venkatesaya.
