At least 21 people were injured and at least twelve vehicles damaged after a speeding Jaguar car rammed into them at Versova in Mumbai's Andheri on the evening of Monday, 23 July.
While initial reports from ANI claimed that only four people had been injured, updates from Times Now stated that the Jaguar crashed into 12 cars, and injured 21 people.
The police told PTI that the injured, who included children, have been admitted to nearby hospitals.
The driver of the speeding luxury car was apparently under the influence of alcohol and was thrashed by onlookers before he was handed over to the police, police told PTI. The angry mob also damaged the car, he said.
The driver has been arrested and a probe has been initated into the incident, the official said.
