- Congress president Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sri Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi on Sunday after she suffered from a bout of food poisoning.
- Chairman of the Board of Management of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital DS Rana said that she is doing better and is to be discharged soon.
- Gandhi’s health has been under the scanner since last year, after she was admitted at Sri Ganga Ram for a viral fever. Earlier in August 2016, she was admitted into the same hospital after she fell ill during a roadshow in Varanasi.
