Two unidentified youths on a motorcycle allegedly fired at Shiv Sena leader Amit Arora at Ludhiana’s Basti Jodhewal late Wednesday evening.
Arora was rushed to the CMC Hospital where his condition is stated to be serious, the police have said.
ACP Satish Malhotra said two bullets hit Arora near his neck. But the assailants managed to escape after committing crime, he added.
The police have said investigations are underway.
