An actor, a politician, a senior BJP leader, two-time Union Cabinet Minister and the current Lok Sabha MP from Patna Sahib, Shatrugan Sinha has been in the headlines several times for a fractious relationship that he shares with the BJP leadership.

He has often openly asked questions and taken jibes at the Prime Minister publicly in the past. Be it the issue of demonetisation or Kashmir, Sinha has never shied away from voicing his opinions that often didn’t echo with that of the party leadership.

Looks like PM Modi’s trip to Phllippines hasn’t gone down well with Sinha. On Monday, November 13, the firebrand MP took to twitter taking fresh jibes at the Prime Minister. The actor tweeted saying, “Highly appreciate Hon'ble PM's multiple initiatives & trips to many nations, latest to Philippines. Hope wish & pray that at least this time the trip gives some fruitful results & is not just another photo op. Hope no one minds! After all we live in a democracy don't we? Jai Hind! ”

In another tweet put out by Sinha on Tuesday, November 14, referring to the upcoming Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections, Sinha said, “ Isn't it enough of hugging business, photo ops, learning & unlearning about farming.
At least during crucial elections, with the sole agenda of India's development, please come back Saheb...and let us work for the nation & it's progress. With love! Jai Hind! ”

The Prime Minister is currently in Philippines to attend the ASEAN summit along with other world leaders.

Earlier in October, Sinha wasn’t extended an invitation to the Patna University event where PM Modi was supposed to speak and the issue garnered a lot of speculations about Sinha’s relationship with the top BJP leadership. Sinha’s latest tweets only seem to widen the visible cracks.
