RSS Worker ‘Kills’ Farm Help, Fakes Own Death to Claim Insurance

Madhya Pradesh Police is on a lookout for a 36-year-old RSS worker, Himmat Patidar, who allegedly killed his farm labourer, who worked for him two years ago, and faked his own death to claim insurance amount of Rs 20 lakh.

The incident took place on 23 January, when a body was found dumped in a field in Kamed village in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam. At the time of the incident, the deceased was identified as Himmat Patidar.

However, after investigation, police found out that the deceased was Patidar’s labourer, Madan Malviya. Addressing the media, Ratlam police officer said Patidar killed Malviya, burnt his face and tried to pass off Malviya’s body as his own.

Ratlam SP Gaurav Tiwari said, the body was identified by Patidar’s family and relatives. But during the investigation, police found out that Patidar’s help, Malviya, was also missing from 22 January, 9:30 pm.

According to Tiwari, there were further indications - Patidar’s belongings like his Aadhaar card, ATM card, mobile phone was found on the body. It was also found during the post-mortem that the victim was strangled and hit with a sharp weapon. It was also found that the face was burnt later.

As per police, on conducting a DNA, it was found that the DNA of the body didn’t match with Patidar’s parents DNA.

Ex-CM Had Raised Concerns About Law and Order Situation in MP

Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been raking up the issue of law and order in the state.

After this incident, Chauhan had slammed the Congress government and had questioned the government’s inaction.

Chouhan had earlier also tweeted about the murder of two BJP functionaries in Madhya Pradesh and had said that the BJP will be forced to take to the streets if the criminals are not caught.

Reacting to Chouhan’s tweet, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bala Bachchan on Monday, 28 January, told ANI, “The BJP’s original character has come to light. Himmat Patidar has turned out to be killer. BJP workers are taking the law into their hands but the party is passing the blame to us.”
