RRB JE: Junior Engineer Exam from 22 May 2019; Important Details

The date for the Computer Based Test (CBT) Junior Engineer has been announced by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). According to RRB press release, the RRB JE Exam will be conducted from 22 May 2019. The board had announced 13,847 vacancies in December.

The examination will be conducted for the post of Junior Engineer, Junior Engineer (information technology), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). The applicants can download their admit cards from 18 May.

RRB JE Exam Pattern

The applicants will have to answer 100 questions in the duration of 90 minutes. The questions will be objective in nature and there will negative marking of 1/3 of the marks for every wrong answer.

In order to give the applicants an idea about the computer based test, they can give a mock test online on 12 May. The board had started accepting applications from 2 January.

The candidates must carry the following while appearing for the exam:

  • ID Proof
  • E-call letter (admit card)
  • Passport size photo

Information about the exam city, date and the session will soon be made available on RRB official website. There will be two stages – First stage- CBT, Second stage- CBT and document verification/medical examination, as applicable.

Candidates will be selected on merit basis.
