1. Supreme Court Judge in Yakub Case Gets Death Threat
Justice Dipak Misra, one of the three SC judges who rejected Yakub Memon’s final plea, received death threats following which his security was beefed up.
An anonymous threat letter was found near the back entrance of his residence carrying the threat. A case was registered. For more read here.
2. Goes Door to Door For Kerosene, Women Then Sets Herself Ablaze
Abandoned by her husband three decades ago and shaken by the death of her younger son seven years ago, a 70-year-old woman, whose elder son was arrested in May this year for allegedly helping a Maoist get a mobile phone connection, went door-to-door collecting kerosene in a can and then set herself ablaze last Saturday. She died on way to hospital.

3. Goa Bribery Scandal: Hawala Operator Held, Case Filed
A hawala operator was arrested on Friday in connection to the Louis Berger bribery case. Raychand Soni, who is based in Dubai, was arrested after his statement was recorded before a Judicial Magistrate. Read the detailed report here.
4. Bail Plea of Youth Who Raped Mentally Challenged Girl, Rejected
A Chennai court dismissed the bail plea of a 26-year-old man who was held for raping a 20-year old mentally challenged girl. The incident took place in May this year when the girl visited her aunt in Tiruchy on a vacation. Read the full report here.
5. Bank Manager, Deputy Siphon Off Rs 1.5 crore
The branch manager and assistant manager of ICICI bank in Telangana has been charged for reportedly siphoning off Rs 1.5 crore cash. Both are absconding. Police found the cash in a car while on raid. Read the detailed report here.
6. Two years on, Geetanjali Murder Still A Mystery
The murder of Geetanjali Garg is still a mystery despite CBI taking over the case two years ago. Her family alleged that Geetanjali was killed by her husband Ravneet who is a Chief Judicial Magistrate and his parents for failing to give birth to a boy.

The question paper of the first-year MBBS anatomy examination at Patna Medical College was leaked on WhatsApp on Friday.
