1. Andhra Pradesh Police Gets Gangi Reddy Deported

Red sanders smuggler Kollam Gangi Reddy was deported from Mauritius to India by the Andhra police, as extradition was likely to be delayed. Gangi Reddy explored all possible legal avenues, in vain, to escape the police net.

CID chief D Tirumal Rao played a major role in bringing the fugitive to India. Reddy hid in Dubai, Ghana, Madagascar, Singapore and other countries after entering as a tourist with a fake passport. For more read here.

2. Duplicate Key of Handcuff Seized From LeT Man’s House

A day after the arrest of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) man Shahanas P A, alias Abdulla, Kochi police on Sunday gathered crucial evidences including a duplicate key of the handcuff from the his house in Perumbavoor (Kerala) during a raid.

Abdulla was the messenger for LeT’s Southern India commander, Thadiyantavide Nazeer.

The Assistant Commissioner also added that it was too early to disclose further details regarding the raid. For full report click here.

3. Bengaluru: Iranian Woman Alleges Molestation, Harassment

A 30-year-old woman from Iran has accused her employer of molestation. The incident took place in Bengaluru.

Apart from police, she has also approached the Foreign Regional Registration Office to help get her stay extended and extract a compensation from the company for terminating her without notice. For more read here.

4. Brawl Outside Mumbai Pub Over Skipped Dues

A brawl broke out between the pub’s current staff and a former employee of a popular Mumbai bar on Saturday morning.

The incident took place when the pub was winding up its day’s work. The accused, an ex-employee and his friends, used sugarcane sticks and helmets to attack the two pub workers.

5. Suspected ISI Spy Arrested in Kolkata

A 50-year-old man suspected to be spying for Pakistan was arrested in Kolkata on Saturday.

Akhtar Khan, alias Mohamad Javed alias Raju, was nabbed in the evening. Fake Indian currency notes were also seized. For more read here.

6. Delhi: Man Rapes Minor He Was to Marry, Kills Her Cousin

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped and her 12-year-old cousin brother was murdered on Friday by a man who was promised marriage by her family. The crime occurred on Friday, but came to light only on Saturday.

The girl did not want to marry Raju (the accused) and had slapped him in front of her parents a week ago. He has not been arrested yet. For more read here.

7. Mumbai: Hypnotising Conman Caught Red-Handed

A conman was arrested in Mumbai for duping more than 10 bank managers across Mumbai by hypnotising them.

The accused, identified as Mahesh Baburao Deshpande alias Renukadas V Rao (59), was arrested while trying to dupe Sunil Gajanand Jahagirkar (55), manager of the Bank of Maharashtra, Worli. For more read here.

8. Hyderabad: Father Kills 45-Day-Old Daughter

A Hyderabad man killed his 45-day-old child because he did not want a daughter. He already has a five-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son who is speech and mentally challenged.

9. Child Marriage On The Rise in Kerala District

Kerala may be boasting a better gender balance compared to other states in the country but the evil of child marriage appears to be on a comeback trail, at least in some pockets.
