1. Man Beats Wife For Refusing to Imitate Porn, Held
A man was arrested, on Sunday, for domestic violence, in Ajmer. The man beat his wife up when she refused to imitate the actors of a porn movie he was watching on his smart phone, according to The Times of India.

2. Telangana: Woman Gangraped, Act Filmed
A 22-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped in Telangana by two youths, while another one was filming the crime, according to Deccan Chronicle. No arrests have been made as two of the three accused are admitted in a hospital after getting beaten up by the survivor’s kin.
The incident took place on February 10 and the woman told her family only two days ago. The accused went to the same coaching centre as the survivor. Read the full story here.
3. Thane: Man Kills 14 Family Members, Commits Suicide
A 32-year old man killed 14 members of his family, including seven children, and then hanged himself in a house in Thane, Maharashtra, on Sunday.
The assailant, Hasnain Anwar Warekar, slit the victims’ throats with a large knife one after the other around 1:00 am after lacing their food with drugs.
Though the motive behind the massacre is unclear, preliminary enquiries point towards a family dispute over property matters. The victims comprise Warekar’s parents, sisters, nieces, and nephews. The sole survivor is one of his sisters. For more read here.
4. Manipur: 6-Year Old Rape Victim Succumbs to Injuries
A six-year-old rape victim, on Sunday, succumbed to injuries at a hospital in Imphal, barely a fortnight since the incident, triggering public outrage, according to The Telegraph.
She was raped by a 14-year-old boy in her village. She suffered multiple injuries after being raped twice by the youth.
The accused was arrested two days after the crime. He is now detained at a juvenile home in Imphal. For more read here.
5. Assam Villagers Allege Assault by a Cop
Villagers in Assam are holding a protest against a Meghalaya police officer. In a release issued in Tura village of Meghalaya, on Sunday, the villagers alleged that the inspector in-charge in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya had assaulted a youth from Assam, identified as Firajul Hoque, manager of a lottery counter.
According to The Telegraph, the villagers complained that the inspector had snatched Rs 50,000 from Hoque on February 23. He allegedly arrested Hoque, kept him at the police outpost for a night and tortured him. For more read here.
6. Kolkata: Man Hit by Bullet in Syndicate Shooting
A man was struck by a stray bullet on Sunday afternoon in Kolkata when two youths on a motorcycle opened fire on a syndicate member, according to The Telegraph.
The attackers fired multiple shots from two firearms, all of which missed their target. However, Raju Alam alias Nur, 40, got struck by a stray bullet.

7. Alcoholic Neighbour Rapes, Kills 5-Year-Old, Absconding
A five-year-old girl was raped and was strangulated to death by her 30-year old alcoholic neighbour in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday night. The accused is on the run.
According to Deccan Chronicle, the accused identified as Jakkula Venkta Swamy, a jobless youth, has a history involving multiple crimes. Read the full story here.
8. Youths Kill Two MCD Officials in Badarpur
Four youths shot dead two MCD officials, on Sunday morning, in Badarpur area of Delhi. Their motive was to loot cash from an MCD toll office, according to Deccan Herald. The victims were working as cashier and gunman in the office.
The accused allegedly escaped after snatching a bag from one of the victims. The police, however, denied that any cash had been robbed from the office. Read the full story here.
9. Odisha: Maoist, Cop Encounter Claims Two Lives
Left Wing Extremists killed a tribal youth in Odisha after storming a wedding function. The youth, suspected to be a police informer was killed, on Friday night.
During the early hours of Saturday, the security forces came across the Maoist camp where about 40 members were present. In the ensuing exchange of fire, a middle-aged cadre was killed. His identity is yet to be ascertained.
