1. DU Student Stabbed Over Rs 20 Dispute
A 20 year-old Delhi University student was stabbed to death by a street vendor over a dispute of Rs 20 in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar area, reports the Hindustan Times. The report quotes a police source saying that the victim got into an argument with the street vendor over the issue of money. The victim, according to the report, was stabbed several times in his abdomen that resulted in his death. The police have apprehended the suspect.
2. Jilted Lover Stabs woman in outer Delhi
A 26-year old married woman was stabbed to death by her alleged boyfriend in the capital. According to the police investigations, the victim and the accused were involved in an extramarital affair for a past few months. The report in Hindustan Times says the victim had parted ways with the man after the affair became known to her husband.
3. No Suspects- Missing boy’s body found with hands chopped off
The body of a 10-year old boy who had gone missing from his house in Delhi has been found with hands missing. The Times of India reports that the body was discovered in a pit in outer Delhi and was badly decomposed. The police suspect a case of murder. Interestingly, the boy’s family has ruled out foul play.

4. Man held for blackmailing school with bomb threat
Delhi police arrested a 30-year old man for trying to extort money from a private school by threatening to blow it up, reports the Times of India. According to the report, the accused had sent SMSes to the school principal demanding that he be paid Rs 5 lakh following which the school authorities filed a complaint with police resulting the arrest of the man.

5. Man held for killing elder brother
Chennai police have arrested a man for allegedly murdering his brother over an argument. The victim, a construction worker, succumbed to his injuries after he was stabbed in the abdomen. A report in The Hindu quotes police sources saying that the attacker was under the influence of alcohol and pulled out a kitchen knife to commit the crime.

6. Four Held for Robbing Train Passengers
Railway Police officials in Mumbai arrested four youths who allegedly robbed passengers after taking them to secluded locations along the railway tracks in Bhandup area. Police told the Hindustan Times that two such cases had come to light and that they suspect more involvement of the youths in such robberies. According to the report in the newspaper’s Mumbai edition, the youngsters had first attacked a software engineer and robbed him of valuables worth Rs 13,800.
