1. Nestle Challenges Noodles Ban in Bombay HC, Hearing Today
Nestle has challenged a ban imposed by India on its hugely popular Maggi instant noodles brand after tests showed they contained excessive levels of lead. Nestle said it had approached the high court in the western city of Mumbai seeking a judicial review of a June 5 order from the government’s food safety regulator banning the product. The court will hear submissions from both sides today, according to a listing on its website.

3. J Dey Murder Case: Court Charges 10 Accused, Including Fellow Journalist, Hearing Today
A special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court on Monday framed charges in the J Dey murder case against 10 accused, including fellow journalist Jigna Vora named in the murder conspiracy. Dey was shot by assailants riding a motorcycle, four years ago. The court will hear the case today.
4. Famous Architect Charles Correa’s Last Rites Today
Charles Correa, renowned architect and urban planner who played a defining role in developing architecture in independent India, passed away here last night after a brief illness. He was 84. The last rites will be performed today.
5. India’s First ODI Against Bangladesh
The three-match one-day international series between India and Bangladesh will begin with the first match in Dhaka today with the other two matches scheduled for June 21 and 24.
6. Airtel 4G Trials to Start in Delhi From Today
India’s largest telecom service provider Bharti Airtel will start trials of its 4G services in Delhi from today. According to sources, the company has set up the network and already informed the customers having 4G-enabled handsets to get 4G SIM cards.

The members of the Joint action committee (JAC) floated by various associations of Pondicherry University will hold a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi today demanding the Union government to remove vice-chancellor Chandra Krishnamurthy immediately. Chandra faces charges of plagiarism and of submitting a bogus CV to the Union Human Resource Development Ministry leading to her selection.

The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) will hold a demonstration outside the Parliament in Delhi today to demand setting up of AIIMS in Jammu. The JKNPP leaders and workers will hold a demonstration outside the Parliament House for the return of AIIMS to Jammu.
9. 26/11 Mumbai Attack Trial Hearing Adjourned Till Today
A Pakistani company had sold eight Japanese Yamaha engines to one of the 2008 Mumbai attack facilitators who supplied them to terrorists, including Ajmal Kasab, for reaching Mumbai in a dingy, a senior manager of the firm today told an anti-terrorism court. The company’s general manager, one of the two witnesses who testified before the court which is hearing the case at the high security Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, said the firm had sold the engines to absconding accused Amjad Khan, a shadowy LeT organiser and financier from Karachi. The court, conducting the trial of seven accused in the case, including LeT operations commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, adjourned the hearing till today.
