1. Bypolls in Five States, Jayalalithaa Contests From RK Nagar

The Election Commission has announced by polls in five states, including Radhakrishnan Nagar from where Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is contesting.

Besides Dr Radhakrishnan Nagar, by elections would be held in Chokpot (Meghalaya), Aruvikkara (Kerala), Pratapgarh and Surma (Tripura) and Garoth (Madhya Pradesh). Counting will be held on June 30.

2. Maharashtra CM to Flag off Clean Godavari Campaign

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will kick-start the Clean Godavari campaign as part of the Green Kumbh in Nashik today. The drive in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar is part of the green mission initiated by the Green Kumbh Committee as directed by the Bombay High Court.

3. Iran’s Foreign Minister Zarif to Join Nuclear Talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will travel to Vienna on Saturday to join a final push for a comprehensive nuclear agreement with major powers, state media reported. “On Saturday morning, he will join his deputies who are at the talks drafting the text of a comprehensive agreement,” the official IRNA news agency reported today.
