Actor Prakash Raj has hit out on BJP MP Pratap Simha following the politicians derogatory tweet about the actor.
Simha tweeted in Kannada saying “Being sad due to to sons death, having left your wife and ran behind a dancer. Do you Mr Rai, have any right/legitimacy/worthiness to say anything to Yogi-Modi. You enact in real life the characters you have played in your cinemas. Your roles in both cinema and life are the same, your name in Karnataka is Prakash Rai and Prakash Raj in Tamil Nadu. You change your name & identity, according to your convenience & necessity in different state.”
Simha’s tweet came after Prakash Raj said that the Prime Minister is a bigger actor than him and questioned the PM’s silence over journalist Gauri Lankesh’s murder.
Following Raj’s statement, Simha had earlier said the PM could not do anything if the law and order failed in the country.
Following the MP’s remarks, Raj filed a defamation case against the Karnataka MP. On Thursday, he chose to talk about the matter while addressing a crowd in Bangalore, saying, “I have sent a legal notice to Mr Pratap Simha (BJP Mysuru MP), as a citizen of this country for the way he has trolled me which has disturbed my personal life. I am asking him to answer legally and if he doesn't, I will be taking criminal action against him.”
