Union Minister Prakash Javadekar was photographed using a landline-receiver outside the Parliament on Friday, in what seems to be an attempt to spread awareness regarding the harmful radiation emitted by mobile phones, reported ANI.
In the photograph, the minister has attached a purple landline-receiver to his mobile phone, and is seen speaking on it outside the Parliament, where he was attending the winter session, the report adds.
Twitter of course, had a ball when this picture resurfaced, with the Twitterati offering their takes on the minister’s highly unusual prop of the day.
And didn’t really hold back on what they had to say, clearly.
Others asked why he couldn’t just plug in earphones, which would have essentially served the same purpose.
In conclusion, it seems that the union minister’s prop wasn’t taken very seriously by the general public, on Twitter at least.
Ouch.
